What would I do without my RSS Reader CCK11
Linn, Jakten på den perfekta lektionen, Mar 13, 2011
Instead of seraching for a center in CCK11 to hang on to, I now try to create my own center by adding all feeds I find to my Google Reader. So far I have added: http://cck11.mooc.ca/dailyposts.xml http://www.quora.com/CCK11 http://search.twitter.com/search.atom?q=%23cck11 The facebook group, tricky one. I tried to use yahoo pipes for the feed of the group but I am not sure  if it works. Any suggestions how to add facebookgroupfeeds to RSS Reader? 2011-01-25T02:50:00.002+01:00 [Comment]

"Add this to Google Calender" button for CCK11 events is here, at least
Linn, Jakten på den perfekta lektionen, Mar 07, 2011
The world needs more "Add this to Google Calender"-buttons I think. Whenever I see the "Add this to Google Calender" button I get happy. So, I created a button for the next Elluminate Session. If you are using Google Calender you just press the buttton and Save. The event will now add it-self (I hope) to your calender. Automatically it will change the time according to your timezone!! (Please someone, in another timezone, test to see if it works)  Is Google open or ... 2011-03-07T13:25:00 [Comment]

Groups, Networks and Grabbing the Mic in cck11
Linn, Jakten på den perfekta lektionen, Feb 19, 2011
I am watching parts of the recorded Friday Session in CCK11 right now... This is Stephen Downes picture from the session: According to this picture: Unity, coordination, closed, distributive=Group Diversity, autonomy, openess, bridges, connective=Network As usual, I don´t understand much but one thing I think I know for sure: In reality, groups and networks co-exist and depend upon each other.  I would like to compare it to an equilibrium reaction in chemistry. If ... 2011-02-19T22:22:00 [Comment]

Digitala identiteten blir användbar (avgörande?)

An attempt to catch up in CCK11
Linn, Jakten på den perfekta lektionen, Feb 14, 2011
I have been unfocused for the last two weeks of cck11. I have followed the facebook group only. Now, I have decided to spend about one hour on catching up. What was discussed the past two weeks? Using wordle.net to form a word cloud from cck11 blogposts: Hm, ProfesorBaker´s seems like a common word next to networks.. Checking the Twitter using tweetcloud Cloud from CCK11Feed on Twitter Cloud of keyword cck11 on Twitter Reflection: Is ProfesorBaker the cck11 alpha dog? (... 2011-02-14T15:42:00 [Comment]

To me cck11 isn´t knowledge until it´s used
Linn, Jakten på den perfekta lektionen, Feb 05, 2011
When I was in teachers school, some taught us "try not lecture to much when you  teach, research show that people will typically stop listening after only ten minutes", by lecturing to us (for hours and hours). You can understand something but then act yourself like you didn´t understand it. Like I understand a lot about a healthy lifestyle and yet keep on acting like I didn´t.The "knowledge" then has no impact in practice. I prefer to look at knowledge as something that really ... 2011-02-05T11:16:00 [Comment]

Let´s compare CCK11 to some challenges in upper secondary school
Linn, Jakten på den perfekta lektionen, Jan 30, 2011
Imagine for example a girl refusing/unable to start to create something, let´s say a novel. (Maybe autistic, ADD, ADHD, unfocused, bored or whatever reason). What will sometimes* help is this: Draw a square and ask her to write something inside this square. (Heavy problems-smaller square)Set a time limit. Ask her to write three sentences in ten minutes. Set a countdown clock.Give her a start. "To live a good life, you have to know maths". Something that she can argue against.Write a ... 2011-01-30T14:08:00 [Comment]

Tomorrow morning for breakfast, I will be able to read all of the RSS feeds in CCK11 as a magazine How? The iPad app Flipboard (free) will transform the gRRS-hopper and Twitter chaos into a stylish magazine for you. Much easier to read! Just follow the 3 steps below: 1. Buy an iPad 2. Download the app Flipboard to the iPad(it´s free) 3. I made a Twitteraccount with all the cck11 RSS feeds that I knew of. It´s called CCK11Feeds. This is how I understand Connectivism at the moment CCK11
Linn, Jakten på den perfekta lektionen, Jan 22, 2011
The flow of information and news is fast nowadays, 24 hour a day Impossible to store on hard-disk or in brain, risk of overheating!! To follow and learn without overheating, you need extended memories. Twitter might work like an extended short time memory (what was I thought about/read this morning?) and blog and Facebook might work like an extended long time memory (to remember something three months ago). Since Twitter, Facebook and Blogs are social medias, your memories optimal ... 2011-01-22T11:43:00 [Comment]

2011-01-11T19:50:00 [Comment]

The CMAP made by Jane Wilde in PLENK2010, recycled here in CCK11 week one
Linn, Jakten på den perfekta lektionen, Jan 18, 2011
This week the MOOC, massive open online course CCK11 starts. This first week we try to understand: What Is Connectivism? Below is a very nice concept map, made and shared by Jane Wilde, who like myself, participated  in the MOOC PLENK2010 a few months ago. I think she explains in a very clear way, connectivism compared to other learning theories. 2011-01-18T10:17:00 [Comment]
